HOTTAKE: This game Really needs to do something about RMT and the Divine orb sink...
The price of Divine orbs keeps rising with no apparent money sink and rampant RMT being posted in chat.

You have 110 hours in the game and still dunno how groups make 10-50+ divs a day?

If you think a 10-100 people wasting their money for a couple div are enough to break the economy so hard.. I have a bridge to sell to ya.

Also RMT will never go away in these games. No single dev was able to get rid of people trying to make money in games with trading.

It is actually really easy to do. You ban every single person that does it. So they have to go into hiding to do it. We use to do it in all the games, but they stopped now that it makes them money. They will eventually do this once the game is F2P if enough people complain.

Imagine saying Devs CAN'T. The word you meant to use is WILL NOT. Big difference. Time consuming, and makes them lose money in short term.

its not the rmt, it's the Magic Find modifier on gear and maps. At this point people who stacked MF which is majority of playerbase, farming 5-10 div per hour with broken builds. That's why it's keep rising plus we are already a month in.

You don't understand how that type of stuff works. Getting the game complete is much higher of a priority than worrying about fools doing RMT's in an EA game that will probably reset everyone on 1.0 anyway. Just not worth the dev time, especially considering most players don't trade anyway they play SSF even if they don't enable it when creating the character.

They'll deal with it the same every dev studio deals with botters and RMTs. They'll do just enough to discourage normal people from doing it but not enough to discourage the pros making a living off it because those people will always have a way to get by whatever they put in place, because it's an arms race.

I do know exactly what I am talking about. Its the same as selling scripts, cheat codes, etc.
Anyone who uses intellectually dishonest red herrings like you, has never tried to make a game. Integrity matters more than anything else for your game. You can make the best game in the world, and if its overrun by cheaters, etc people will quit it in droves. Happens every single time.
You can ACT like you know what you are talking about, but you don't. Blizzard is a prime example of my point. They know how, they don't do it for 6 months, acting like they didn't catch it day 1. They don't want to put the MONEY and TIME into fixing the problem because they make the money from those same people.
Coming down to RMT for this game Specifically, they want RMT. If they didn't they wouldn't allow it in day 1. This is a known thing for ARPGs and PoE1 has this same problem. They want it, but know at some point their game will die if they let it stay too long. They are just doing a balancing act. Which shows exactly what type of company they are.

Every gaming company that puts $ over quality games, falls. This will head in that same direction. But thats okay, because thats how it is, and how it will always be with players like you.

admins and game masters have been operating RMT sites for years, the problem is that the staff is monetarily invested in RMT and won't do anything about it. DAY ONE we had bots spamming chat selling unlimited divine, exalt, regal, chaos, etc. how is that possible without a GM or admin manually adding those items to an account by modifying the game files at the source?

I'd love to think dev's don't partake in it but god knows they probably selling currency then ban the player they sold it too

They need to make a AH and control the market set minimum and max price on all items, sort out MF.
Stockwerk 13 Dec 30, 2024 @ 10:11am
guys, you play the wrong game

trade league is entirely PAY2WIN, RMT and BOTTING
everyone knows that

100 exalts cost 3 dollar right now

why would you ever grind that game if working a minimum wage job at mc donalds is like 10x more effective

you enjoy the game much more without pay2win, everything you earn really matters in SSF.

so come and play SSF league instead, it is the real game.

Ain't the drop rates the same though? If it is then it really doesn't matter.

This makes me wonder if dev's run RMT websites, spawn the currency>sell it to players to make money>ban the players to get them out of their game

Every company that puts $ over a quality game fails? Let's take Blizzard, your example. Nearly 6bn in revenue in 2024 and 200k people actively playing D4.

Like I said, you have no clue what you're talking about.
