PoE 2's map system

What are your thoughts on mapping? I hate that we can't use the 6 portals. I guess they are really incentivicing people to play in clans and parties, but even then, you can't revive fallen allies, What is the point? You make the juiciest map ever, but a lucky crit can end your entire run as if this game was a roguelike (Which it is not and I am not really enjoying this). So I've made a new character on PoE 1 and got up to T14 maps and I've been having so much fun. I hope they revert their ideas into what was fun
