Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Base Resistances Are Too Low
The problem:
Base resistances in the game are far too low, forcing players to focus heavily on them far too early in the game. As a result, I’m unable to finish the campaign because I can’t afford to buy decent gear. Right now, the game feels balanced around hardcore gamers who play in guilds and share optimized gear, but for solo, casual players, it feels extremely difficult to make meaningful progress.

Ascension Trials Are Too Hard for Some Builds
The Ascension Trials are another example of the game being overly punishing. I appreciate the difficulty—it’s part of what makes Path of Exile unique—but the challenge becomes a brick wall far too quickly if you’re not part of the “no-life” PoE2 community that min-maxes every detail. Some builds simply can’t clear these trials efficiently, leaving players with very limited options if they want to progress further.

just pickup/buy resistance rings from vendors.. 2 white rings give like 60% resistance to whatever res you need for the boss you are fighting..
and charms..

there is nothing hard about this.
and pay attention to the free resistance the story gives you each act. that tells you what resistance you need for the end of act boss.

eg the wolf head gives cold resistance, because the act 1 boss does cold damage.

They need to get rid of the fact that as you progress, they take away resistances from you. I shouldn't be getting weaker as i progress, yet they add a debuff to your resistances. Act 2 takes 10% of your resistances away for example.

This has lead me to hit an impassible brick wall as a solo player.

They already removed 20% resistance requirement in the last patch 2 weeks ago, and you want more? It is already perfectly fine as is, if anything a bit too easy.

Pro Tips, in story and early endgame use runes to cap the resistances.

I am a "casual" player with 300ish hours playtime, that has no guild to share OP equipment, does not run guide builds and I have a level 90 Monk that clears end-game(T16 juiced maps with bosses) and have completed the campaign 2 additional times on HC and twice 5 acts(died in A5). So dont make a "you" problem, everyone else's problem.

There are many problems with PoE2, but resistances aint one of them. Its exactly the same as it was in PoE1 and it works fine.
In PoE2 we have runes, in PoE1 we have crafting bench.

2 resistancce rings, buyable from vendor and dropping everywhere, should cover you thru campaign.

So impassible plenty of people passed it. Maybe just acknowledge you're not good and it's a skill issue?

You can 100% finish the game with it's current content as a solo player.

Get ready for all the sweats to say its because youre bad because they can't put a game down for more than 30 seconds and think that every player in the world is unemployed like they are.

Resistances dropping into the negatives twice during acts is history of PoE and part of the game. You can pick up a few 20-30% boosts on your armor, get the rest on rings, THE BELT!!!! you can get over 30% easily and affordably there alongside health, mana... and the necklace. Socket what's missing in your gear and if your build relies heavily on resist-free uniques, there are still Jewels that can aid with capping resists.

Funny.
I didnt cared about the resistance in the campaign and i made it relaxed.
The only thing i did with my monk was to get a very good weapon und increase the stats.
So i played a bit like a glas cannon, learned the tactics and defeated all bosses.

Now in endgame you really need nearly full resistance but you will become one shot with it ;)

When you say dumb things, you can expect dumb responses.

Hmm I finished the first three acts with horrible resistances, then got slapped with a 40% debuff for the last three acts in cruel ...the game is clearly a bit unbalanced right now, to be expected for EA.

Pretty sure I finished Acts 4 -6 with -40% cold and lightning resistance ...but had 30% chaos and 50 something fire res.

So yeah you can finish all 6 acts with horrible resistances.
