"Attack in place" and "Always Attack Without Moving" interaction issues (Including Ice Strike Dash)
"this was posted by Aumnescio#0733 on the Forums but has not been addressed and needs to be noticed"

There are currently inconsistencies with how "Attack without moving" works between abilities. There are also inconsistencies between how "Always Attack Without Moving" works with the toggle available in the Skills panel and how it works when using Shift ("Attack in place").

Some of the most obvious interactions are on the Monk, with Ice Strike and Siphoning Strike.

No matter what, Ice Strike will always dash to targets. Even if using "Attack in place" or "Always attack without moving", Ice Strike will dash to targets. I strongly believe that Ice Strike should not dash when using "Attack in place". The forced dashing completely ruins any feeling of control when using this ability, and especially sucks when used with Tempest Bell. The dash will also end up killing the player because of sudden insane positioning that is mostly out of the players control.

Siphoning Strike however does not dash when using "Attack in place". This is a far better interaction, and is not consistent with how Ice Strike works.

Another issue with "Always attack without moving": When using this option on the Left Mouse Button, for example with Quarterstaff Strike (Though any ability causes the issue), the player character no longer moves to interaction targets like NPCs or items. To interact or pick up items, the player has to be in extreme proximity to the target. This does not feel correct, and on its own ruins using the "Always attack without moving" option on left click.

Furthermore, using "Always attack without moving" on many abilities will cause an unnecessary and bad feeling stop in the players movement even if constantly holding down the "Move only" command, which is again inconsistent with how "Attack in place" (Shift) works. Using "Attack in place" does not cause the player character to stop their movement. This behavior happens with for example Essence Drain, and most likely most similar directional projectile skills.
