Bots trader. You can try posting some well sought rare or unique for 1 exalt and see how many bots whisper you immediately.

Another factor is that exalt and divine is not something that you spam for crafting. None of the materials work for crafting. Omens are. But those also expensive and rare AF.

So we have RMT and big guild farming currency non stop daily with broken MF rates. They flooded the whole server with ten of thousands of exalt in their bank. Imagine if your government printing money endlessly and the mafia buyout every single medicine available. Thats what happened.

Scammers faked divs to ex ration. If you want to buy something cheaper, turn on exalted only trades tto skip 1 divs.

Its called chinese - they literally have companies that hire "players" to farm dropppables, so their bots buy them and sell at exaggarated prices breaking ingame trading option and allowing them to sell the same items outside of game for real money.

There is some cheesy stuff going on with magic find. If you group and stack magic find you can get multiple divines per map. It's jacking up the market.
