Friend list issue

I added friends to the list but when they login to one of their other characters with a different name, the friend list is now showing them as offline. This is only happening to recent friends. When the game first launched, the two friends I added initially seem to work as intended where they made alts and I can still see them as online even though they logged in as an alt. Did this change in a patch?

Probably a bug or server issue, or they made their self appear offline.

Having the same issue, i can always see my that my partner is online in social screen,
But she rarely sees my character online at the same time.
Im online in steam, and switching between different chars in poe do have other results
feels very random.
Probably missed a lot of tradings this way, cause nobody seems to invite me.

Definitely an issue. Usually whoever logs in last has to make a new group and invite those of us who have been on for awhile
