Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Area monster levels
Map insists that monsters in a certain area are of level X. Me, new to the game: "Oh, I am level X, this area is suitable for a character of my level" only to find that regular monsters are tough as nails and bosses are literally impossible at said level.

Find that on average I need to be 3 to 4 levels higher than the monster level to have an enjoyable experience.

Suggest adjusting monster level display accordingly. It is downright stupid to say something is level X and it then not being suitable for players of level X. Especially when that is the only possible function that statement can have.

This is highly irritating and imho needs immediate addressing.

If you need to be 3-4 levels above an area, that's a you problem. Pay better attention to your character's gear and build. I've so far run 8 different characters through at least a significant portion of the campaign (3 all the way to campaign completion, 1 to actual endgame) and have never felt the need to outlevel an area (except ascendancy 3+, ♥♥♥♥ those).

It means nothing if your gear sucked, that's foundation before your skill issue.

The level indication is for exp gain reference, too much a gap, you hardly get exp due to level penalty . For example if I'm level 80, I gain all the exp for monster kills that are within level 72 to 88, if I'm level 15, my range is 12 to 18.

Clearly reading comprehension wasn't in your school curriculum, I will spell it out for you:

NEW TO GAME:
- DO NOT HAVE GEAR
- DO NOT HAVE POINTS

Do you get it now? All of what you said is totally, complete irrelevant. It has ZERO bearing on what I said. None whatsoever. Thank you for wasting my time with this utter nonsense.

Yet another incapable of reading... I didn't say it couldn't be difficult, I asked for better indication of what level a character should be to go into a particular area. But besides that, nothing wrong with striking a better balance. Also, go ♥♥♥♥ yourself you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron.

No, it isn't for experience gain reference. There is no telling what gear a player will have so you CANNOT balance an area under the pretence that a player will have a certain quality of gear. That is too stupid words and yet you wrote that down anyway. You should feel embarrassed for writing such nonsense.

The only issues I have run into in zones my levels are the rares, other then them nothing has been too bad even bosses have been quite easy. I have died 3 times due to the champion mobs (I think the blue ones are called that) due to being swarmed with them in the mix. I am playing a witch with 1 skeleton archer, 6 or 7 warriors and a flame wall to ignite the gas from the archer.

2 skellies, 1 archer, is all the game allows me to have

Cmon, I know you're new to the game, but there are these lines of text, they pop up here and there. You click on them, then you open the inventory, they you equip these. Here's how you get gear. I believe that was explained in the tutorial, maybe you bugged out.

your gear is just really bad, you need to upgrade it ASAP, its actually really normal to face monster multiple lvls higher than you when playing with good gear

Ok, tips? Tricks? How am I supposed to get good gear? I wipe every map I get on fully to make sure I don't miss chests but so far the only gold piece that I found that I can actually use is a level 6 helm which isnt all that spectacular? Only other nice piece I found is a staff but that means I don't get to have my skeletons anymore... Or are you suggesting I gamble for gear, can only do it twice so not sure how useful that is going to be. I am guessing not useful at all...

It's Intelligence score dependent, right? I have some minions that I can't summon due to this. It gets to be a big number as you get some gear.

There are already hundreds to casual players that made it to the endgame and this is not an game issue, its personal. If you think this is game issue, explain how the other casual players were able to do it? Meaning, you need to get better understanding of the game and adapt to it. There are already bigger issues that needs to be addressed, not this

You can just do blues, that's perfectly fine. What explanation do you expect? Do you know how blues work? Do you know how basic crafting works? Do you know you can turn blue item into gold? The game has like 10 attributes, you can't find a bunch of blues with +life and some resistances? Do you just sell stuff or do you disenchant it? Do you check vendors after every level up? Describe your decision making and maybe someone can help.
