Back back in the day, if you had a little cut you died of septicemy. Shame we invented antibiotics and personal hygien. Life is too easy now.

Good ol'day.
Life vs video game, I like a hard game but would prefer an easy life.

That's it@@ Don't die. I should have thought of that before dying. Silly me.

You lose XP from a certain level or after campaign, I don't remember. Wait to reach the endgame and you will feel the suffering. In short, you can lose 1-2 hours of xp in one death. and after lvl 90-95 you lose like 5-8hours xp in one death.

I don't want to spoil you, enjoy the game while you can, and then go in the endgame and then come to cry with us, we will welcome you :p

Considering how I occasionally play hardcore games where everything is loss on death I think a bit of xp wont bug me too much. (currently trying to take down the wall of flesh on terraria master mode on hardcore, its well over 100 attempts now, it really sucks when a good run is over due to a boulder and lack of concentration)

During campaign it was a non-issue. I didn't even know I lost XP.
It's terrible in endgame.
Endgame you go a lot longer before you level, and you die to on-level mobs, and just to reach on-level mobs requires tedious, unrewarding grinding, all of which you lose + XP loss if you die (and unless you run some meta-build you copy and trade for better gear, you will be dying). Then you'll have to grind back up unrewarding crap, to try it all again? No thanks. For what? Slightly higher trash loot? More currency to gamble on more trash loot? Offsite trade which ruins the game, invites all the bots/spammers, people just look up meta and trade to win leaving the core organic gameplay to be unplayable? You'd think with D4 and last epoch showing them better ways, they could have done better. This was the same in POE1, I don't see that it would change if it was released this way (even in EA) in POE2. Looks the same.

I believe that end game is just to tide people over, half the acts and classes are not there and that means we are not at a real end game. Can't really have an end game with half of the game still missing. That being said it would have been nice if they made the current end game a bit better even if it is just to last a bit for the rest of the game to come out.

18000/78000 negative reviews; with many people reviewing BEFORE endgame still.

Haha thats so true and hilarious. Positive comments and youtubers poping videos like "so easy to gear, I teach you" while being low level act 2 normal or act 1 cruel are so useless.

"i don't understand what you mean, I enjoy the game and I can progress easily, see I just reached act2 cruel by myself without trading that much, you complain for nothing" XDDD

You don't lose xp in campaign, its happens in endgame maps...Playing ssf and just died to some Bullshi damage spike and lost like 4 hours worth the xp, its actually pretty retarded. Lose xp, lose your map, lose modifiers on that map node...it kinda just makes you not want to play honestly.

I dont know, its too fleshed out to be a placeholder in my opinion...pretty sure this is the endgame mapping system. Playing through cruel act1-3 is the place holder for missing content.

There is no point for you doing higher maps if you are too bad for them. grind tier maps your level, get the right gear and progress. why you die btw? Its not really a goal or anything. Grind lowers maps and come back to higher tier when you are stronger its really rewarding and you dying in a game actually means you lack experience :)

I agree! there should be some punishment for playing like slop.

Even arcade games and NES games gave you more than 1 life dude.

The campaign in PoE2 should serve as a benchmark for how the gameplay SHOULD BE.
