This isn't like crying about the difficult. Only a fringe niche vocal minority are upset that they suck at the game. A great deal more people are unhappy about end game. So something will get changed to address this.
regular leveling gets you passive points. passive tree you can see what you're working towards, and steadily get there
New skill gems, new spirit gems, new support gems, try out new skills, see regular upgrades, new combos.
XP loss trivial, re-fight bosses.
(great graphics, WASD move independent of aiming, and dodge...I like it! Fun stuff)
End game mapping:
- discover that the loot never really improves, and loot currency doesn't either, same as it was at level 10 basically...hope for a random rare to perfectly fit in your random jigsaw puzzle of rare equipped items for a marginally boost.
Using that rare loot currency is largely an exercise in frustration. LIght radius, thorns, +40 accuracy... Blue orbs on whites...that's so boring by level 60, still doing it. Hoping for a hit so you can regal it? then exalt? Bricked. That was fun!! let me chaos and hope..oops, removed the only good stat! Oh well, let's do this all again!!
- grinding waystones to grind tablets to hope for hits on the right maps, and then hope you can kill the boss, only to lose all that time/waystones and XP loss?
Crazy that a handful find it fun.
Going be years before hits its stride if PoE anything to go by, until then really no point investing time in the end game unless you simply just enjoy it.
With this current player count too, like good luck convincing ggg they need to change anything. They only ever pivot in past when player numbers actually tank, season flops etc.
Also, those who complain, like you, are just used to avoiding challenges. Instead of accepting the challenge and pushing themselves to improve, they go on forums and cry to the developers to lower the difficulty, rather than trying harder and evolving their own skills
I have very good news for you Diablo 4 is on sale.
I didn't even know about diablo 4, before seeing this forum.
