Minion taunt welcome
Playing as a minion build is kinda pointless ritght now since you can't use your minions for taunting. It would be awesome for Skeleton warriors to taunt as an active skeleton skill just as other types of skeletons active skills

Ohhhh that didn't age well, and minion build wasn't strong in 0.1, Raging Spirits was strong.

Regardless of the needless necro hehehe, minions are definitely not insanely powerful and that didn't answer the question of the OP to begin with when someone posted last in Dec.

With my Infernalist Taunt wasn't needed and my minions were super tanky because I was stacking Physical resist on them. I was tanky because Infernalist + Raise Shield abuse.

This league Minions are still pretty slow compared to faster/meta classes/builds and are definitely not meta this time.

However in relation to 0.2's main problems with enemy zoomy rushes and overwhelming players/Minions:

I'm using Lich specced into Minions (Chaos Spectres being Cultist Archers with cooldown (unfortunately, but can be reduced and made up for with 4-5 archers for constant rate of fire that way like musket line infantry tactics :p ), Rain of Arrows + those big flowery Chaos carpet bombing AoE bulb explosions) + Empowered Zombies (that I summon on dodge rolls with Lingering Illusions when my 1 hp illusions die to enemy hits/ground DoT, or with Profane Ritual) + three curses.

Running (as of now):

1. Self Cast Despair (Chaos Resist reduction), socketed with:
- Decaying Hex (Chaos DoT not for DoT, but to enable all the other support gems below on it)
- Hinder (So it has stronger 30-35ish% movement slow than 17% hinder for hexes from a curse node)
- Chaotic Freeze (Despair cursed enemies hit with chaos dmg causes freeze buildup so Cultists Freeze everything with their huge overlapping Chaos AoE explosions, and all minions contribute due to them all doing Chaos damage cause Lich Nodes).
- Acrimony (cuts down cursed enemy's health regeneration by 50%)
- Will eventually be socketed with either Glaciation (for 50% more Freeze buildup) or Frost Nexus (Leave Chilled Ground for 8 seconds when Freezing enemy, for more slow stacking)

2. Self Cast Enfeeble (50ish% damage reduction to normal enemies down to about 25% vs. Uniques, which hinders for 17% movement slow. Note this hinder on all curses does't stack with Hinder Support Gem) socketed with unimportant stuff tot his post but Heightened Curse, Focused Curse, and Hex Bloom (perpetuate damage reduction which also has meant I haven't had to take some minion nodes that give physical resist or chaos resist so far).

3. Self Cast Temporal Chains (46%ish slow of all actions by about 27%ish vs. bosses, also increased duration of other effects) socketed with:
- Cursed Ground
- Ritualistic Curse (50% increased AoE, but with Cursed Ground becoming a Ground Effect Curse delay penalty doesn't kick in)
- Magnified Effect (30% increased AoE, Chains now is basically my 75% of screen)
- Encumbrance (15% increased Slow Magnitude)
- Will probably take Abiding Hex (consumes Power Charge, gains 80% duration), or Doom Blast (although it doesn't do a lot of dmg with this build and already have 3 on death explosions due to Lich Nodes when cursed enemies die 33% doing 1/4 of their life in damage as opposed to Doom Hex's 10% of mana pool dmg).

Then actually Cultist Archer's cooldown ability also has built in slow as well.

The long and short/TLDR of it being who needs taunt? Slow enemies/bosses to a snall's pace, make them hit like noodle against you and minions, freeze most things including Bosses all the time and even if you get rushed, make empowered zombies as a bulwark + means to dodge roll out of trouble. Easy to time when enemies take 2 seconds to swing lol.

If there;s a will there's a way. My lich this league feels like my 0.1 Infernalist + Chronomancer built into one, which is nice for environmental/crowd control. :p

All that said, it would have been really nice (and kind of OP) if GGG kept the pre EA launch version of Meat Shield which did indeed have a % chance to Taunt, but they removed it right before launch, or PoE2db was picking up a much earlier development version like with other support/skill gems.
