how to use doomblast - impending doom ?

How does Impending Doom trigger doomblast, is this the sideeffect of the curse expiring, as it reads, or is there another gem I've to use with it?

the damage occurs when the curse ends, so if it reaches the end of its timer or the monster dies

but there is nothing I've to place adjacent into the socket?

ah okay, its needs to be attached to a curse, i use it with conductivity on my arc mage

yes ofc I try this too, just that? there is no support skill named doomblast, doomblast and impending doom = one gem.

Which support gems do you use with conductivity? +area size / impending doom / reverberate maybe? or anything else ?
