Global chat = micro stutters
If you watch chat while you move around the game, you will notice every new chat entry will make movement/actions stutter. It does not help to mute your chat. Chat entries still happen and you still get the stutters.

SOLUTION? Move to another chat channel.
-Open chat
-Right click global
-In the entry field you will see it gives you a chance to change chat channel. Change to a higher number. Mid double digits work.
-ENTER

You should be in another chat channel that is dead or somewhat. You will notice no micro stutters as well.

What I noticed is chat entries spike the CPU for some odd reason. Open your in game graphs while chat is on to see it trigger. You will see the spike everytime a new chat entry occurs.

I hope this helps a few of you with microstutters.

Nope. All it does is remove it from your view. Chat entries still occur.

For me it has improved the game slightly, which is something. Keep in mind, some of us have older, less powerful, hardware.

So thanks, OP.
Yep same for me. I dont know what the cause is but every time someone sends a message my CPU spikes to like 40ms. Going into another empty room completely fixes it.
