Yeah I am sure GGG will make a big change in January.
Change like... NERF MELEE MORE and UP RARITY FIND !!!!! :D
I joke but I almost believe in my joke, still wait for crash fixes and CPU overloading fixes :x
If 150 ex are rich to you, you might wanna check out some guides on how to make currency.
do we? Or is it entirely based on people saying it who are already rich and are running the highest tier of content with it? is it really any surprise that they are rewarded for that? Im just saying be careful what you wish for because if they "balance" the game around the top 1% for this mechanic the rest of the community is going to have a harder time competing I promise you this.
I found plenty of rarity increase items with decent stats all through the campaign. ive been playing arpg's for decades. people always undervalue this stat and toss it in the bin. but like i said before, wait and see what happens when they get back from the holidays and nerf it into the ground because of all this b!tching. the rich will still be rich and the rest will suffer. 100%
Pretty sure rarity will be dead in a heartbeat.
the ones actually REEEEING over suggested changes might be the whales. if they are, things wont change. thats how f2p works. lots of people think thats why trading and drops are how they are, to sell premium tabs to trade with
The people burning div orbs on ventors gambles literally have brain damage, IMO. The odds are extremely low for getting desirable results, when you could just purchase a rare ring with most of the stats you'd want on a high rolled ventors for far cheaper. Unless you got a near-perfect rolled ventors, I got some rare rings that're equal to or better than a mid-rolled one.
I can't see that many people in the brain damage club using all the div orbs on ventors, so what else is there? A mirror craft item that rolled rolled top mod tiers, but low rolls in the range? Sure, that's probably the best non-brain damage way to use them, but how many of these items actually exist?
Anyone care to explain where the logical sink is for div orbs, currently?
I remember when div orbs were like 1:1ex, and then it was absolutely worth using them to reroll quite a few unique items, I did this myself on a few pieces. At that exchange rate, gambling on ventors was actually smart.

"Select games might stop responding on Windows 11, version 24H2 devices:
Issue might occur when starting, loading, or during active gameplay. In rare cases, you might receive a black screen."
Yes we do. Because it works on Currency.
Like quantity did in poe 1 ... which they deleted because it was brokenly good ^^
And so is rarity. I can run like t5 maps with rarity and make a killing.
this kind of makes my point for me. first of all, define "a killing" it's just decent. which it should be. because alot of players are going to hit that point and hit a wall. which they will need rarity increase to overcome just to be able to compete in the market and be able to advance higher. if you take away this option what's your alternative?
I didn't test T5 maps to much. T1 - T10 i only ran around 25 each for my rarity test.
On T5 i got an average of 3 pure exalt drops and 1 divine in that timeframe.
Admitted my data is super low samplesize and i had my atlas completed.
But that doesn'T even include potential good gear drops i could sell and such. or other rare currency.
And you made an excellent point, to fight inflation you need to burn money. And there is absolutely NO INCENTIVE AT ALL to burn divine orb according to their pricing. The crafting is garbage and full RNG, and if you have bad RNjesus like me, crafting and looting is not an option at all (it's like uninstalling the game in term of progress efficiency for me). So yes, since there is no sink for divine, it will continue this way because the market makers decided it has a lot of value. The bubble keep growing, and it's insane.
I think the sink problem is the same for chaos and exalt, but to a lesser extent. Because I think, many many people have the same problem as me (NEVER LOOTED or CRAFTED anything usable) so they prefer use it as currency for trading only. So they keep stacking it for trading, but since they are not that rare, their value keep decreasing and it's a vicious circle.
The core problem is the crafting system being garbage tier. The loot is garbage too, you loot TONS of blue and rare items, even uniques, but 99% of items are turbo gargage and remaining 1% are "ok to toilet tier but for other classes". In fact I would even be ok to keep the garbage loot system IF the crafting system is improved a lot and if we can have deterministic crafting. If not, things will only get worse and worse
IMO they should never have named it Path of Exile 2 xDD now everyone is comparing it to 1. Which has like 11+ years more devtime into it.
And the game is ACTIVELY trying to be something else than PoE 1. Since PoE 1 will still continue.
