Honestly Diablo 4 is still the better game

For being the brand new poe game, it's still deeply rooted in the old style of game. Now we have this globe trotting adventure but its just clicking dots on a map and we don't actually see how were traveling.

Compared to Diablo 4's living world, this is hardly anything new.

If you want to look at it that way, nothing is new. You could say that all of the games of this genre are a copy and paste of 'Rogue' which is where this entire genre spawned from. Diablo just made it popular, and became a name in which everyone knows. As much as I've always loved the Diablo series, they've fallen far from the pedestal with 4.

D4 never was the better game its way worse than D2R or D3 or Last Epoch or or or

Regardless, D4 is an OK game at best. It scratches the itch, but it's not compelling at all. It's mind numbingly easy, and you can literally smash your face on the keyboard and win with next to no actual thought process to play the game far into end game content, with as little as there is.

They may have updated the graphics but they failed to update the gameplay of the story. It's almost a shame to make no attempt to move it forward for arpgs after so long and so much money.

So what exactly are you trying to convey or complain about? What specifically makes you think D4 is a better game from PoE 2?

What kind of "living world" are you refeering to it simply does not exist in diablo iv the open world in diablo iv was the biggest mistake and is completly useless and nonesense, their dev diary showed that the people that worked on said "open world" did not even knew what diablo is or how its supposed to be played they are so disconnected from their own game its mind blowing.
Diablo is long dead it died with the old good blizzard.

Diablo IV is the worst ARPG in history its a joke of what it once was.

I would say Season 2 and 4 were better than poe2
Season 0 was about the same ( both had good campaigns but ♥♥♥♥ end games)
current season is worse.

But thats kinda what gives me hope in D4, problems of the last season will be fixed by the next.

Eh... I wouldn't even compare D4 to PoE2. They fundamentally feel different altogether. Not even from the casual to hardcore standpoint the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are trying to portray. It just feels... different.

Seriously, scared the ♥♥♥♥ out of me when they first revealed the Ranger riding that mount. I feared for the worst.

You want a open world? Go play Skyrim or something.

Anyone who ever mentioned Diablo 4 and any other similar games in the same line don't have a clue.

Did we not remember the GIGANTIC backlash from their 1st patch ?

They go as far as to scummy nerf the teleport spawn time by 40% just so the dev can have more " engagement rate " to brag to their investors. Their game director had to dodge the question so awkwardly when a player directly asked him to his face.

How can anyone forget this and still think Diablo 4 is proper game ? It isn't , it is a platform made by a bunch of lunatics so they can drain your precious time and then completely dump on you whenever they like.

No games in the genre is as bad as D4 , period.

I hate to point it out... but the entire ARPG genre is incredibly dated... D4 doesn't make the genre better in any aspect...

D4 was amazing....at making me appreciate that as disspointing as it was, D3 was actually not a horrible game.

That was the only thing it was amazing at though.

I would (and have) rather replay the original D2 (not even the revised version, though it was path of diablo 2) than D4. I was so bored with D4 I went back and played D2 to see if I would still enjoy it or I was just jaded or something.

I was not jaded, I played it for about a month. I still enjoyed it, even without online ladders etc.

D4 I have gone back to 3 times trying to enjoy it, only got 2 characters through the story (before you could make characters start without doing the story) and then very briefly tried the expansion for free (when it was available to test).

The expansion did nothing for me, so I have given up on that game. Now THAT game I would have loved to refund (but obviously no way to know it blew within 2 hours and it was't available on steam at release (or at least I bought it from Battlenet directly if it was).
