Path of Exile 2

Respeccing is way too unforgiving
just bricked my blood mage after 68 hours unable to use abilities because apparently without the weapon I sold for the rebuild I only have 30 spirit...so that's nice.

What happened to your gold?

Respec very expensive esp if you want to switch ascendancy/atlas points for different situations.

no its not your just to low a lvl to be respecing, i have close to 3 mill gold that just sits there, once you become higher lvl you will have plenty, its designed for you to be respecing at a higher lvl not at low lvls

Spirit in general is a great idea but horribly implemented. And you can't dual wield scepters is such a weird and awful constraint.

blood witch ? After 68hrs you should have at least 120 spirit just by killing some of the story boss

I had a lot of spirit, but I did some respeccing and sold one item and I'm down to 30 spirit. Can't do the new build I specced to because of it. I'll have to go back to act 1 & 2 and farm for hours just to redo it.

act 1, 3, and 6 should give you a total of 90 if I'm not mistaken. It definitely will not take you hours, port to the boss's that you missed out on

Once you are blasting maps gold spikes up. I'm at about 3 million. The real challenge is playing this 2/10 game that long. I guess I have a high pain tolerance

If you respec so much you can't afford it, maybe wait?

If the character is truly "bricked", aka can't even run tier1 for gold grind, your best bet would to roll an alt and be more committed to a build till it gains enough gold for the other character.

This is a self inflicted move, so you're gonna have to dig your self out.

/edit Just reread the thread, you bricked a character still in tutorial mode, aka story, just make another since it shouldn't be more than 6 - 10 hours to rereach that point.

Respeccing isn't unforgiving, stupidity is. Selling a key piece of gear before you were finished rebuilding was stupid. I'm not judging you (much), we've all made stupid decisions, but let's not go blaming the game for them.

Also, you're still in the early game, it shouldn't be hard for you to pivot temporarily into something that you can use. Failing all else, make an alt, gold and stash are both shared.

First, you should always have enough money to double respect (respec again if you mess up) and certainly shouldn't sell stuff until you know you won't need it....you probably already know that now.

Second spirit is important for most builds and you can get alot of it from other pieces. If your willing to buy off poe 2 trade....than you can get it very cheap.

An ammy with whatever weapon type you are using (melee/projectile/spells) with 50 or so spirit is generally 2-3 exalts on poe trade. Worth having one of each type so you always have the spirit to run whatever buffs you want for any character, while boosting your primary attack type in the process. Try for other good mods but those are the important ones.

A cheap low level unique shield can net you 50 more spirit and be used with a sceptre, and any sceptre gives you 100 spirit, but you can get 130 pretty cheap with good mods on it for minions (guessing you are doing a minion build).

In addition some of the minions that do the most damage don't even require much spirit. Summon raging spirits needs 30 spirit, that is it, and you can make them quite strong, you don't even need life nodes for them, just minion damage, and then toss in the right supports and you can kill with JUST them.

Armor can have spirit as well, and honestly through normal difficulty it's not a horrid idea though I usually go with more runspeed on my armor because normal is cake and you just wanna blow through it.

Anyway you can easily fix your problem by using poe 2 trade and even if you prefer SSF like me (single self found) if you brick yourself, you can break the rules to fix it and then go back to making/getting your own equipment afterwards.

Also consider making another character, it's really useful to have at least 1 character per attack type (melee/ranged/spell) just so you can use the cool stuff that drops.

I usually combo any character with an attack type with the OTHER weapon that uses that type (mace/qstaff, bow/xbow). Spells are a bit diff but I usually use them in combo with minions, even as a sorc. You CAN use spells in combo with bow/xbow or heck even melee if you want...but I generally don't.

Anyway good luck:)
