Skill Gem Quality

Is there any information about what increasing skill gem quality does? I can't find anything. Summon Infernal Hound, for example.

It can add extra effects and improves overall damage/stats of the skill. Hold ALT while hovering over the skill gem to look at what it adds.

Anyone know of a website with more up to date info on this? I use a controller and the last patch seems to have removed the ability to view quality info with a controller (and hitting ALT does nothing). There is a PoE2 wiki but it's missing lots of skills or has skills but missing info (like quality).

hold ALT over the gems when they are slotted, there is an extra perk it gives.

I play on a controler just pres either L3 or R3 ( the thumb sticks) it gives you info, however there are some skills that have no additional info as of now
