This is not a build issue.
This is not a gear issue.
This is what I call a SKILL ISSUE.
If your parents were watching you play and they see the skill issue they would be saying get gud son.
If your parents were watching you play and you keep doing what you doing what you doing not changing a thing, not improving your skills, you are going to get rekt son
Just roll a lot.
The problem is the double penalty for dying in map with the randoms one-shot kill. You loose the map and the expriences.
I'm fine for going 75% to 0%, but at least can we have the others portals to farm items, this way you have the possibility of upgrading the builds. The risk will be loosing more experience.
The 6 portals should work even for death if the random one-shot kill. If you want to make it only 1 death map, to add more pressure (I have no objection), at least make it so the random mobs doesnt one-shot you from afar.
Making it too hard and instant regret for dying even tho it's not Hardcore mode, will lead peoples to look for YouTube cheesy builds to progress, that will get nerf in future because people rely too much on it. That's a vicious circle.

You dont wana loose exp..... then you need to stop dying. You realy wana avoid dying? Start to building your character not for DAMAGE but for Survival. If you watch the characters of the whiners you will mostly see glass cannon sorceres with max damage.

Yep it needs some balancing in some points but the death penalty is perfectly fine. Just start making good chars who also have alot of defense

Defense in high tier maps mean absolutely nothing, when there are one shot mechanics everywhere.
Losing XP on death is yet another stupid decision by GGG. Along with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful "trials".
