We are living in dire times where developers purposely create unattractive female characters in the name of "The Message" Thankfully GGG has strayed from this path and added multiple attractive women to the game, like Sekhema Asala. This makes me hopeful for the future.

I mean, considering what other games have come up with in regard to how their characters look, i am always glad that others are still going for attractiveness. I dont want to play some overweight ugly bastard, i already have to spend time with some of them at work. I want to play as Conan, Aragorn, Xena and Lagertha... not as Paul Blart (unless its the gimmick of the game).

Exactly. No one wants to play as Gertrude the obese, angry, cat lady from HR or Bob the homeless drug addict.

IDK why people who make games cant seem to understand this. I think its because people who make games dont actually like games and its just a 9-5 job for them. No passion, no drive other than that paycheck every 2 weeks. They don't understand the fundamental basics of why people enjoy video games. It would be like putting someone with no tastebuds in charge of a kitchen or someone who hates modern art in charge of a modern art exhibit.

That is most exactly the reason. In the beginning people created games because they wanted to create these games, but now its mostly about profit and there are a damn lot of studios where developing a game is made by 9 - 5 people, on all levels. Thats why wokeness got into the gaming world as well, marketing saw that it looked like a flourishing market. I mean, everyone else seem to do it too.

Honestly i couldnt care less about that. But after the recent ultra Bullsh_it we saw in other games with focus on "diversity" its actually nice to see not every studio is focusing on diversity but more concerned with making a good game!
