Endgame is a bummer for me!
When I reach endgame and started my first map, I said alright. I may as well redo a few maps... only to find out that once cleared... I can't redo that area again!!!! For ***** sake! This is backwards and worse! I want my maps in POE1 back in POE2!

It is intended and by design even though it isn't explicitly stated and it used to be even worse when you failed the map, go watch the endgame reveal trailer. The whole point is for players to traverse "infinitely" expanding atlas, iirc GGG shared their reasoning in one (or more) of their interviews with community.

Either way even if GGG reconsiders, it will have an extremely low priority, OP should share feedback on their forums instead.

What they dont say in the trailer is how many mobs pretty much can 1 shotted or stun lock you to death. The end game has I must kill you before you kill me damage similar in POE 1. Not to mention the boss still has 1 shot skill and you have no immunity skill or movement skill. It is slower only because there is no movement spell in POE 2. The rest is pretty much the same.

I have pretty much 7k effective hp+shield with 70% chaos resistance still got slaughtered by venom spitting snake, you got stunlocked once the other 7 will spit on you till you die. Good luck if they have cold damage too on top of that. You still have to deal with many other BS on top of this. And you loss all your map nodes on top of that. This design is bloody genius. Old POE 1 atlas is much better than this crap and many people hate that thing otherwise you will see POE player wont be that low. This players number will drop like fly within the next few days.

330,000 (steam) players in last 24H. That's actually a huge retention number after a big launch event. They couldn't be happier with those numbers.

The cluterfck of spells covering the whole screen on end-game builds is just way to much. I get it that 10 years olds thinks that is super duper cool but adults, no way.

Yea the atlas map thing needs tons of reworks before launch...Too many of the same maps and the tower thing is just dumb and pointless..

I feel you, no idea how more often I've to run maps I don't like and watch the beauty of backwash protrude out of the swamps into my dreams.

I like it, but in my case it's not that cluttered, killing clean and methodically with a blunt spoon

Oh you mean like the reason that tablets can't affect completed maps and if they would that would change so much ... you couldn't get rid of pre-existing bad layout maps for isntance. You couldn't force 10 specific maps to be "choosen".

And if they allow it without the tablets ... then just ... why?!
There is no reason to do so ... you get less rewards, since there will be no mechanics.

I just don't understand why one even has to give a reason why NOT to do something compared to WHAT would the benefit be of spending dev time on that in the first place...

why did you buy into a paid early access where they rushed out a basic endgame if you hate basic endgames, and expected POE2 to have the same or more content than a game that was out for 15 years? Where do these people come from?

I enjoy a challenge! I heard this game is hard. I said HARD!! But locking a node for endgame when you finish one area, it's like a slap in the face for many! I like to redo some areas with my waystone... also, everything is fine. But, again... forcing the player to move onto another node and kicking them to move outwards "by force" is a no for me. I like to re-farm an area and feel comfortable before I tackle another node from the endgame.

Endgame sucks. Mapping is way too random in poe 2 so you just aimlessly branch out. Poe 1, at least you know you are making progress by going inwards to the center of the atlas.

GGG need to redesign it, of course the 1 death only is a huge problem wiping out progress and you need to hard farm for waystones and limit learning of boss mechanics (Ascendancy has the same problem, tedious slog and suddenly die to boss 1 shot like avoid the circle or stay in the circle... or other shenanigans).

No ! I like that you are actually forced to progress instead of just farming beach or whatever div card farm map is in trend over and over and over again like in poe1 !

There are like 8 different maps ! You will do the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over again anyway ! What you want doesnt make any sense with this endgame !

Hard agree to OP. I really love some areas, and hate others. Let me enjoy what I love. Unique maps and special areas can disappear I don't care, but let me enjoy the types of maps I like.
