Anyone good at WASD, tips?
Do you use a mouse with more buttons.

The movement is really awesome but I wonder how I should get all the buttons pressed when my fingers are at work with movement.

Only way I see it that I've to sway in one or the other direction to get a finger free for pressing 1,2,q,e ... rest I can bind to the mouse

- Q, R for curses or 1 time each combo.
- V and SHIFT Charged skills.
- RMB & LMB for main skills.
- M4 and M5 if you have it.
You can use Z X and C with thumb finger as well.

I'm using a Razer Tartarus (mini programmable keyboard), and a mouse with 4 buttons. The Tartarus is fully programmable. I still flip out and lose my place on the keyboard sometimes.

it's your first game? almost all games use wasd plus other keys, if you have trouble with wasd you are probably very new using a keyboard

ah nice, yesterday I was thinking about a midi soundboard, if there might be something similar as mini keyboard.

Guess I've to work on it to turn those inputs as fluid.

Not that fluid like when my fingers aren't occupied with pressing other buttons meanwhile.

I will consider a better mouse, but it was easier then I thought.

q -> mana
e -> life
attack:
lmb [Tempest Flurry]
skills:
rmb [Storm Wave]
mb4 [Siphoning Strike]
mb5 [Lightning Warp]
shift + rmb [Bell]
shift + mb4 [Charged Staff]
shift + mb5 [Unbound Avatar]
ctrl+q [Bow Shot (culling strike)]
ctrl+e [Meditate]

shouldnt be too hard this is a 1 button win game. if youre on WASD youre already pressing too many
i use caps lock instead of R and i put my flasks on my 2 side mouse buttons. And no its not a one button game if you played the game.

I use a logitech G15 mouse (it has 12 buttons on the side plus three more on top that can be bound to in any standard video game).

Changed Q to HP Flask and E to Mana flask. 1-5 are bottom row skills. Left - middle - right click is top row. Use Ctrl + 1-5 for secondary bottom row.

controller is pretty goated

My setup with non-gaming keyboard & mouse:

WASD for Movement
Q, E, R, F, C for Skill hotkey bar 1
Alt + Q, E, R, F, C for Skill hotkey bar 2
#2 for Life flask, #3 for Mana flask
Spacebar for Dodge-roll
Z for Character Menu
X for Inventory Menu
V for Passive Node Menu
T for Town Portal
Left Ctrl for Command Minion
Tab for Area Map, ~ for World Map
LMB, MMB, RMB for Skills 1-3
Caps Lock, Left Shift, #1, #4 for anything else you want

I find that this is most comfortable and convenient for me because none of my fingers have to do ridiculous gymnastics and everything can be easily reached without moving the positioning of my hand.

If you want to use an extra A key for something else, change movement to ESDF and shift Life/Mana flasks to #3 and #4.

This is also similar to the setup I use in MMORPGs with many hotkeys and WASD movement like World of Warcraft and Guild Wars 2.

I use:
ESDF for movement
W for health potion
R for mana potion
MMO 12 button mouse for skills

If I were you, I'd put at least 5 skills on my mouse, like left click, middle mouse button, right click, M4, and M5 if you have extra mouse buttons. Then, you could use modifier keys for the rest of your spells since hitting other keys with WASD movement might feel awkward. I won't try to convince you to switch to ESDF, but it does make it easier to reach keys like Q, A, Z, X, C, V.
