But then the EXP gain drops drastically, and no more lvl80+ gear
You're either basically have to make a hardcore-viable build and play like you're in HC, or you never progress.
Instead I just started a new character and a new build usually.
Losing like 5+ hours of progress or more per death is not for me, I don't have time for that.
stopped poe1 with the same feeling in my stomach I begin to get in poe2
But I think really cool game for the vets.. they waited long.. fair enough
well the game is good but when i reach a wall i will stop playing because i want to have fun not lose hours of grinding
If you cannot handle 6 hours loss and this is Diablo 2 all over then you might aswell quit the game now as it will likely take 14 days to get a single level in the end.
There's a difference between challenge and punishment.
A game can be challenging without stupid punishments that take away the already achieved progress of the player.
You already lose the time, loot, map/waystone and the map bonus. No need to set back the whole character as well.
