Blasphemy not working properly?

I have Enfeeble and Despair socketed to Blasphemy but it only activates the Enfeeble aura even though I have enough spirit for both and the game is even reducing the aura as if it's using the skill. The only way to get Despair to work is if I make it the only socketed gem.

Default curse limit is 1, so u can only apply 1 curse. I have two socketed just for style

you need a way to apply a second curse. without a node in the skill tree or specific gear you are only able to apply a single curse at a time

You can cast a curse at range do some dmg, if anything survives and gets close your aura will overide it.

Just confirming, this does work if you have Whispers of Doom passive from the skill tree. Both curses are being applied properly for me.
