Trial of Sekhemas is the dumbest thing in a video game

Sorry, but it has to be said.

It's the most frustrating, time consuming, completely dumbest thing ever to be implemented in a video game.

Dev 1: "So the player needs to progress their ascendency nodes, so let's make it that they do a rogue-like game mode, where the player has ONE LIFE, but instead of their life being used, we use an HONOUR system instead that gets decreased so it can't be healed with pots"

Dev 2: "Oh, that's a brilliant idea, and to allow the player to recover it, let's make it COMPLETELY RNG! That will be super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun"

Dev 3: "Yeah, not only that, let's make them go through MULTIPLE floors, that take ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ AGES to complete, and if they die right near the end on the boss, they have to go through the ENTIRE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THING AGAIN"

Seriously, what the actual ♥♥♥♥ were they smoking when they came up with this idea.

It's NOT FUN. None of this is fun. The chaos trials are even worse because there are no good boons, only bad afflictions.

You're supposed to make games be fun to play. Neither of these are fun at all. Making me waste a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hour, because I ran out of honour on the final ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss for my third ascendency? Absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid mechanics in a game, such a waste of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time.

Yeah it sucks. It's not hard in the end if you play around that honor crap, but I'm very sure it will be changed at some point. It is very generally disliked and one of the major critique that shows up.

PoE with their ranged/caster classes being too OP, and PoE2 was supposed to be a re-work of combat so that melee classes feel better to play.

Even with a great build the trials are an annoyance at best and i highly assume the vast majority are just doing the trials once for the points and then never again, which would again speak for a high dislike and they wouldnt even prosper as just endgame options.

The vast majority of players arent using forums, but when a lot of complains about the same thing come up from people who arent regulars, then its an indication that a lot of people are unhappy with this system, even when they dont say anything.

If you enjoy it fine, but you're the only person who does. As you can see in this thread, everyone else agrees, it's a completely ♥♥♥♥ system.

Take your "skill issue" comments elsewhere. This has nothing to do with skill, and everything to do with RNG and luck.

Or just breeze through it on your minion witch build where you just afk and the game plays itself.

ignore those people. they bring nothing to the game or the hobby in general. dont give their voice power, it doesnt deserve it.
