Ghostwrithe hp to energy shield calculation

Hey guys, anybody knows how this hp to energy shield conversion works? I see guys on it that from few hundred hp get few thousand energy shield with that item. Shouldn't it give you 500es when you have 1000hp?

Infernalist also gets more ES from HP, so they can get to around 9k with the same investment. Also Ghostwrithes conversion seemingly happens before any life reduction / life reservation is applied from Ascendancy nodes / passive tree nodes (looking at your total max hp for conversion).

It's apparently applied before other multipliers to life.

If you have Chaos Inoculation that sets life to 1 GhostWrithe will give you ES based on your initial life value before being set to 1.
