Most fun melee class/style?

Looking for suggestions as to my first melee class in poe2. I'm kinda leaning towards some type of lightning monk.

I'd like to hear other opinions though.

The best melee class is a ranged class.

Monk. Ice monk, lightning monk, monk is just generally the only good melee class. Apparently warrior does actually get good in endgame, but it's such a miserable slog to level it there in the first place that I just can't be bothered.

Spear is the default weapon of the huntress. Duelist has one handed swords.
You can swap for sure, but your wording was weird.

Warrior can be leveled well with the crossbow at the beginning. If you have a few gems to spare, this works very well and at the beginning a respec can also be had cheaply a little later.

ice strike monk is very fun but leveling process kinda low dps.

Melee quarterstaff sorceress stormweaver and melee hammer chronomancer is great.

Classes and weapon skills are not locked. There are a lot of options. Mercenary is very good too for melee.
