I'm sure the copers will be along shortly "oh they'll fix it"
D4 is already fully functional. The superior game.
D4 graphics are infinitely better than poe 2 lol, Poe 2 looks like diablo 2 ngl.
how did you thread necro a December 23 post what could you possibly have been searching for to find this thread.
anyway
even before POE2 i wished the ux/ui/polish, gameplay, and presentation in general of diablo was applied to POE.
POE has always been clunky relatively speaking.
And the bit about "this isn't about your own character" is laughable. I personally don't care but it seems like character customization would be basically trivial. If armors weren't universally usable by the different body models, I'd say it was a decision to reduce that work but nah. And D4 does reduce some of that work by having class specific items
POE2 not having any locked items is a lot of work to make each character animate properly for each weapon, etc.
The real question is "is it worth the effort to add that over something else." I'd say no.
But i mean at least face customization... seems trivial imo.
Also D4 has been out longer = better optimizations = OMEGALUL. POE has always had ridiculous optimization issues. graphically, cpu and network wise. small indie company, etc.
they had a command in place at one point that you had to spam if you became desynced.
I've gone through a few computers since poe launched and i've never had one that felt like it ran "well" never mind if i tried doing an intense league mechanic with an intense build.
the counterargument to that is D4 runs well because the content is never intense. it's a boring, empty game
Poe art design craps all over D4 as well and thats not even bringing in the monster and boss designs. The only thing thats arguably superior in D4 is the character models themselves, but even here the POE models have FAR more and better animations. Hell the Necromancer and Sorc cant even throw a standard melee attack in D4.
All of this is objectively apparent. To say otherwise is just a fan boi self report.

If you open your statement with D4 has far better graphics then i dont know if you are a troll or blind....
I recently after 170h of PoE2 did reinstall and play some D4.....
PoE2 graphics on WQHD, high details and some Nvidia Filters is 3 leagues above D4....
i was seriously shocked how bad D4 looked after having played 170h of poe2.
My first impression was : " Wow in my memory D4 looked much better but now that i have direct comparison it looks pretty bad compared to PoE2....
And yes PoE2 has a lot higher hardware req compared to D4.... but thats for a reason.
It just looks a lot better. So naturally it needs better hardware
Anyone who thinks D4 has "better graphics" is maybe comparing it to POE1 or something, where the realism just looked like bad assets from the unreal store. The most polite you can be is that it is "simplified" so that it runs smoother and feels less clunky. I literally think a lot of it is a port from diablo immortal, they chose accessibility and performance over quality and detail.
But there are plenty of side by side videos showing this off.
Here's the one you should share to anyone who thinks D4 has better graphics. cracks me up every time.
