Fix for crashes (DX12)

Hi,
the guide in the link fixed the constant crashes for me entirely.

What did it for me was to uncappe the frames and disable Nvidia Reflex.
I capped the frames by the Nvidia control center.
Their is also a fix if your PC crashed and you had to hard reset it.
Just deactivate 2 cores of your CPU for the game

It's funny how many vodoo techniques poeple come up to fix the crashes.
My game was constantly shutting down when i tried entering ToC, so i couldnt ascend.
I tried all kinds of stuff to fix it and in the end the one thing i never thought would do something actually fixed it.

Steam->PoE2->Properties->Installed Files->Verify
It found 1 corrupt file and now everything works.

But my game was just shutting down in that one instance after the loading screen and nowhere else.

Isn't your post the same though ? Helps in a specific instance but not with other problems, same as OP's post.

Thats why i stated my issue and what worked for me.
The reason its funny to me is just cuz I never thought that "verify your files" would ever actually fix something for me.

I just disabled steam overlay, game works perfect now. reflex + boost, dlss quality , dx12
not a single issue .

lot of this solutions ppls posting are a bit of placebo , something is conflicting with program and stuff you do either postpone issues or resolve it temporarily

plus they fixed like 20 crash issues alrdy, maybe trying to default options to see if it works would be better then messing with stuff then you don't know which work which not.

Well, I got a real 'Office Space' moment with the crash I'm currently repeatedly having.

I was just minding my own business clearing out the Jungle Ruins in Act3 Cruel; When all of a sudden I got a 'Buffer Underflow' exception pop up. And I can't even log back into that character without the game giving the same error and crashing.

I just use that BES app and limit to 8% and it seem to fix my crashing try everything even process lasso and turn core 0-1 off that did nothing.

Disabling 2 cores with process lasso is useful to terminate the game in the case of a freeze, but it does not prevent freezes. The BES tool helped a bit (setting on 5%) with lower frequency of freezes / crashes. Dynamic culling is disabled, but Reflex is still on. Iam goin to update the BIOS to AGESA 1.2.0.2b and see if it helps.
