Path of Exile 2 – just a poorer Diablo IV
Honestly, I don’t get the hype around Path of Exile 2. Looking at the trailers and gameplay, it’s just a rework of the old game with a few cosmetic changes. The only thing they’ve done is add new animations and improve the graphics, but compared to Diablo IV, it looks bland. Even Blizzard, with all its flaws, manages to create more stylish and polished games.

And why split PoE into two parts? Why not just update the original? It seems like Grinding Gear Games just wants to grab more money without offering anything truly new to players. It all feels like a step backward: too much hype, but in reality, the same boring mechanics. Do you seriously think this is the future of ARPGs?

And honestly, how are 400,000 people playing this every day? I just don’t see the appeal. Are people really that desperate for an ARPG that they settle for this grindy, outdated mess?

Before anyone says "nice bait" or "trolling," I haven’t even played Path of Exile, but I’ve watched plenty of streams and videos to try and understand the appeal. From what I’ve seen, it just looks overwhelming, clunky, and unnecessarily complicated. If there’s something I’m missing, I’m open to hearing it, but so far, I just don’t get it

Edit: Just because you use a jester award doesn't mean you're right. Don't bother trying to rile me up because it's not a good look.

You're wrong on so much, but I expected as much since you've already admitted to not playing Path of Exile.

Well, maybe I haven’t played, but if I don’t like what I see, I must be missing something, right? Maybe 400,000 people are just caught in some mass delusion, thinking this grindfest is worth it. Guess I’ll watch more streams and figure out why it’s so loved. Or maybe I just don’t get the trend of 10-year-old games still being "cool"

most people are addicted to dopamine. Playing family friendly games like league of legends.
Good games will never bee in main-stream - as most of humans are "grey" and normies, casuals and people without even their own personality.

People don't want to learn deep mechanics and think even a little bit. There are games good for people who enjoy only dopamine-boosters like diablo 4/immortal and people who like games like souls-like, where "Action" comes not from dopamine-boosters but by fighting with overwhelmy hard encounters and make them kneel before you.

When one will say power is: killing 10 000 small enemies clicking one button
the other will say - "i have spent 12 hours in this fight, but i have killed god".

Ah, classic defense mechanism - when you can't argue the point, just claim someone's 'wrong' and ignore the actual criticism. Maybe if I played, I’d see the magic, right? But hey, I’m sure the 400,000 daily players have figured out something that I’m clearly missing. I’m just waiting for someone to explain why grinding the same mechanics for hours on end is revolutionary. I guess if it’s working for them, that’s all that matters, right?

How about reflect on your life instead? You're spending your time worried that others are having a ton of fun playing a game that doesn't interest you. I can't even count the number of games I have zero interest in playing. Go find a game that interests you and enjoy it and be happy.

Virgins don't get the hype around sex until they've tried it.

Manual tool users don't understand the point of power tools until they've tried it.

HDD users don't get the hype around SSDs until they've tried it.

Single monitor users don't get the point of multi-monitor setups until they've tried it.

Your opinion is invalid because you've only watched others. Either take the time to play it yourself, or just shut up. But forming an opinion about something with nothing but second-hand experience is about as ignorant as you can be.

Ah, so PoE players are the enlightened ones, huh? Guess grinding for 12 hours is way more rewarding than clicking a button 10,000 times. Maybe ‘normies’ just like having fun instead of proving how hard the game is
