GGG, let us replace runes please
The current concept of runes quite narrowly limits the flexibility of builds in PoE 2.

From the first look, it's a cool system to adjust resists or dmg output,
but when it comes to a spot where you need to improve something, experement with dmg types or replace parts of your gear - the pain comes.

For the weapons, sometimes it takes days of crafting or trading to get a specific stat roll for your build, after you put runes of one type to do some tests and then, to compare an output, you have to get a similar weapon with another set of runes to make a second test, third etc.
For armour, when you put specific runes to get your max resists or to achiv other goals, you become very hard locked with that gear, beacuse when it comes time for improvement, often by replacing one peace, you also have to say goodbye to a half your perfectly rolled gear with runes you cant replace anymore, because now they make you squishy.

For now runes restrict buildcrafting rather make it flexible.
Why do we have to spend time to trade our gear for something similar if you can just give us an option to replace runes in 1 sec and continue enjoying the gameplay?
Thank you!

d4 can't get runes right

poe2 can't get runes right

d3 can't get runes right

might as well just not touch them. leave the feature alone on d2 and let it rest in peace..

GGG can break this ancient wall, I hope.
PoE was always a place, where people can be creative and get rewarded for it.
Let's make tools, not break them

regards to d4: even Rod started teasing us about runewords coming to d4 and it was the biggest joke i've ever seen. i'm convinced they don't even how runewords work LOL. just like the d3's associate game designer didn't even know what a HoZ was. like holy sheeeet

This would be amazing, you could save the runes and add them to another armor set and would help with Res in areas where its needed!! ++++

Saving runes would be too much, I think, because they are consumables.
But to have an option to replace them - would be already huge improvement!

I somewhat agree, the issue lies in the difficulty, if difficulty stays then some mechanics should be in place to help level the field. Swapping runes to help with Res's its a great idea as you'd then wouldn't need to do all the rigmarole just to survive a boss instead would help you stay in the fight longer. You'll still be defeated in some cases and since we really don't have class specific drops. . .

I agree. Even if it means another item that has to be used to clear the runes from the gear. That would fit right in.

Yes, left this out. Like farming another currency would work just fine as the game already has that feature in it

They should let runes be replaceable and leave the permanent socket items to stuff like jewels and the other things you get in ultimatum.
