Ofc I also think they could totally implement it and it wouldnt make a difference but I also don't really mind it. It's not a huge deal to just think about what build you want to do in endgame before you reach it, especially when most players copy-paste builds anyways.
I guess you could also make an argument that it artificially increases playtime cuz people will create new characters and also make it more likely they will come back next season to try a different ascendancy/build but yea idk not a great idea in this regard. Better make a good game that people want to come back to when new content hits.
