.... is this game aimed at casuals then?

These are the basic tools for obsessive, lo-life min-maxers like me, who are as far from casual as possible. So not bait at all.

Stop white-knighting the game's blatant failings. That is why we can't have nice things.

It's actually good to have for testing purposes, the game may say what something is supposed to be in stats but being able to see the real damage result lets you know if its correct or not.
There's a hp count number up the top but you need to work out the difference in under a 1/4 of a second or so because it goes so quick and i'm pretty sure it's lerped or something so the numbers go down in a smooth transition rather than chunks

We don't need numbers or dummies... we need path of building. Theorycrafting requires real tools.

And target dummies are stupid. There are so many varied enemies with different health, speed, damage, defences, hitting a static dummy doesn't really help you play better.

Time to kill is what counts, and how well you survive.

training dummies in games work as a control when testing....it's not the thing your testing but rather a constant you can test against.

Real players don't need any dummies or tools to know how much damage they do. If you're not able to determine this without, you lack skill bro!

In a video interview with GGG, they'd specifically discussed this and thrown in around, and currently there are no plans for it in the game, for exactly the reasons stated.
