How Does XP Work in Party Play?

Hey everyone,
I was wondering how experience points (XP) are shared when playing in a party. For example, I was Level 20, and my friend was Level 4. We grouped up to play, but I felt like I was earning way less XP than usual.

Level scaling was enabled for everyone, so I’m curious—does the party leader’s level affect XP gains? Or is there something else about party dynamics that influences this?
