Lost Djinn Barya?

I did some quick Google searching to see if this was elsewhere/common/reported and wasn't showing in the top results - but I believe my 2nd Barya has been lost/consumed.

First ascendancy was cleared, and the first time it was attempted I failed because I was unfamiliar with how the Honor bar translated in to life/how the mechanic worked. I remember recovering the token to run the trial again. That run was done solo.

Tonight playing with a friend we both went in utilizing my token, and we failed right at the end boss (I think he ran out of honor - I still had ~300.) However when we came back to the trial start, there was no recovery option. Nothing in the altar, nothing in my inventory.

I even reset the instance and nothing.

Is it gone? Any way it can be recovered if it is?

Only the first one is a quest item, all other ones that drop are exactly that, drops that are consumed on use.
Also, if you already have your first ascendency points, if you want your next points you either need to complete a 4 room ultimatum, or a 2 floor trials of the sehkemas. Completing another 1 floor trial of sekhemas will not grant you any more ascendancy points.

Outside the initial trial, the token is consumed.

So if you fail, gotta grind to get another one.

Cool. And I'm assuming it would likely drop from one of the map bosses in the Desert areas that it was originally obtained?

Drops anywhere any time. But there is a mapping talent point to increase the drop odds on certain terrain.

The first quest one drops from Balbala in Act2.

Where does it drop though? Do I have to be in act 2? Only bosses? I failed the trials and got mid-act II without getting another coin anywhere

You can usually get another one from the area boss that dropped the quest item the first time. If not, farm it until you get it. Or just play on further without ascendancy, they will start dropping more regularly in the later acts in cruel.

The only downside is that the quest item is the lowest monster level drop, compared to the normal item drop versions.
You can get start getting more in endgame maps if you don't have any RNG.

If you failed just keep playing as normal, honestly. It'll drop, nothing specific you need to do. Or just buy a coin off of someone if you can spare a single exalt. Or just ask around. Only coins valid for 3rd and 4th ascendancies tend to sell with any regularity, so people end up with crapton of coins eventually. Especially if they've played through with multiple characters.
