How can I put a Jewel in an equipment?

Does regular sockets work? The sockets for runes?

They go in the jewel sockets in the passive skill tree.

RUNES for gear (needs a socket, cannot be changed after)
JEWELS for passive skill tree (along the 'stat' highways)

Does that mean if I get 2 Jewel Sockets passives in passive tree, then I can use a total of 2 Jewels in all my equipments? If there's 1 Jewel socket passive, only 1?

You socket Jewels directly into the Passive Skill tree. After pressing P to open the tree, press I to open the inventory and you can have both windows open.

Jewels can be changed at any time.

Runes and Soul Cores go into the sockets in armor, and cannot be changed. This is a common complaint, so they may change it.

Yes, you place the jewel yourself, it's not automatically added

Jewels are for the passive tree and only provide the bonus as stated, they don't "add" sockets to equipment. That's what artificer's orbs are for

Just fyi for anyone who doesn't know, jewels aren't just like runes, they are items that can be upgraded and corrupted like weapons/armour as well.
