It's not defending it. IT's stating a fact. In any online game, there will ALWAYS be bots/RMT/cheaters.
It's literally impossible to not have them.
Goin on like this the problem will only go worse cause the market it's going nuts with the prices... Without divine orbs atm you literally can't buy anything good to start mapping and even if I'm still good to go with my campaign items I'll be stuck soon unless I'll have some incredible lucky drop to allow me make some divine...
in order to price fix they need to control as much of the outlying as possible.
aggressive purchasing bots are used to achieve this.
end goal is funneling players toward using rmt.
In PoE1 bots are usually unascended Witches, because they struggle to complete the ascension trials and can AFK with minions. At least for grinding purposes.
For trading, they typically get to act 2 to have the standard hideout.
In PoE2, they can't get a hideout until endgame, so where do bots even trade from? Just in-town?
PoE is interesting because it doesn't have an auction-house so bots can't auto-snipe trades. They need to whisper a player, and that player has to agree to trade them.
In PoE1, most bots are currency flippers, making money off arbitrage on exchange rates between currencies. And the currency exchange system kind of invalidated that, and they can't easily engage with it due to the gold costs.
Probably too many or I just happen to find too many players with level 70+ characters with no hideouts for some reason. Now I don't have any proof so that I could start mass reporting them, but it's too suspicious.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
You can cap out all 3 Resistance with 3 Items, each for 1 Exalt. Ánd a half-good weapon for another 1 Ex. More than enough for start the Atlas.
