This is the way, wait for pillar landing, then strike it down. When there are no pillars left he is on ground a lot more as well.
It didn't take me that long either, but it was just incredibly annoying. Similar to the Elden Beast just running away non stop.
The pillar can be knocked down? I tried that initially but the thing gives 0 feedback, so I figured that wasn't intended.
If you destroy the pillar quickly (it has a health bar and can be targeted only when the chimera is ontop of it) it'll feel like no feedback because of the animation taking forever to start
You can when he's on it only. I can only agree that it's not clear.
I found the boss to be incredibly unfun to fight. I beat the Elden Beast in the first time I encountered it too, and still I left the fight with a feeling of "wow... really?". This boss was the same; it took long for me to take down and it was just pure frustration.
Apparently it's actually a puzzle boss with the pillars, but the game isn't very clear about that.
DOnt ignore the humblebrag of "I beat the last boss in elden ring the first time blind too". OP is one of **those** people who are never happy with what theyre given.
When I turn 12 years old like yourself I want to be just as badass as you are.
