High level witch sceptre question

Do higher level sceptres with Skeletal Warrior allow for more skeletons? I have a little higher level sceptre with level 5 minions (up from level 2) and I still only have two skeletal warriors.

Does the number of minions ever increase? I have 4 archers from using my spirit but my warriors are just from the sceptre.

I think they all remain at 100 spirit unless one rolls with affix increasing that by %. You also get more spirit for your character by killing certain bosses in the campaign.

Ratling Scepter only gives 2 warriors even at higher levels (unless a unique exists that I am unaware of, I'm unaware of most of them currently). But, those 2 warriors don't cost spirit, and you could also use the skeletal warrior gem to spend spirit and have more of them if you wanted, although doing so they are treated as completely separate skills and will not share support gems.

You only get 2 skellie warriors from Sceptres regardless of the skill level provided. You are better using Spirit to summon other types of minions like archers, firebombers or whatever you want, and just stick with two skellie warriors and put in CC supports like blinding.

Okay, thanks so much. I wasn't sure how they worked in regard to spirit. So I need to summon my own skeletons if I want more. That's what I was missing. I wasn't sure if I could combine the one's from the staff with my own spell.

I usually prefer scepter with a one of the aura. You can set support gems that cost spirit without the cost. 2 warriors at my level take 38 spirit, on my current scepter I've got 60 spirit worth of gems

Meh I use the two warriors as tanks while the skill gem warriors can blind and maim enemies so they can at least slow the enemies that charge after you.

i have a 144 Spirit Sceptre with 2 LVL 16 Warriors, the Tank everything ( whats Tankable) with support gems. So far..

How do you unlock the 5th support gem slot for Skeletal Warriors from Scepter skill? I am level 95 and only have 4 support gem slots open.

upgrade the quality of your gems will slighty reduce the amount of spirit needed per minion. Also eventually on your tree you will be able to get lord of horrors which reduces the cost by 12%. I highly advise you use reavers, They're cheap for spirit and melt and destroy packs. Im running 15 of them at level 28 with 1 cleric. If you need more spirit while in early endgame buy an Oaksworn shield, extra 50 spirit and sell for 1-2 ex on trade.
