I'm looking forward to playing a ranged/melee Merc at some point, but i don't know, it kinda seems weird that you don't have two separate skill bars for each of your weapon set.
1 positive so far tho, you can set up your permanent buffs for weapon-sets 1 and 2. That means that buffs deactivate and activate based on the weaponset you use.
For example, i only switch to my 2nd weapon so the "blink" buff activates, then i can teleport instead of dodgeroll. When i switch back, blink deactivates, and whatever i had reactivates again.
So they thought about that, but not the skills in your bar. I guess they will implement it in the future.
I wouldn't expect this to change. The current system provides way more flexibility than hard locking an entire skill bar to a weapon type. What if the only skill I want from my mace and shield for my mercenary is raise shield? Then all other skills are crossbow skills. Do I have to waste 4/5 of a skillbar on mace skills that I don't want?
Yeah, that would be awesome if they have an option for that.
