He's a VERY easy boss. But the game is not working as intended. The pillars don't stop hits randomly. EVEN if the boss doesn't move and neither do you. And 3 attacks get blocked and 1 hits you for no reason. If you get me?
Doesn't work. His attack is faster than your roll unless you've specced into movement speed. 90% of the time the 3 slam hits you regardless of rolling or not. It's a total lottery!
today was oneshoted by regular archer with 3 hits in 1 second - 1st got my ES to zero, 2-3 shots killed. and every shot was 100% stun. welcome to poe2
The first hit will track you, you gotta dodge at the right moment to get away, the second one is non- or less-tracking in my experience, but the third again will track you, and ontop of that, fire debris in the frontal direction.
So the trick is to dodge-roll the first, then run away from him, you can even run out the range of the third strike, or dodge-roll at the last moment to get out of range. Only don't roll directly away from the boss, because of the flinging debris, instead try to get away to the side.
The first hit was hard but did not kill me, but also taking the second hit was enough, or even when I avoided the first two hits/healed back after the first, the third hit was always killing me.... again, until I went back to town and stacked fire resist (was at 43% then), even traded out a yellow ring and amulet for blue ones, just to get max fire resist. And when I returned with 75% I could even take the third hit and survive with little health.
