Having stuff explode after I've slain it, can be very annoying especially with the amount of things you can't see overlapped by every ability both us and ai use.
Lol i had no idea that it was this bad, not even looking for it.
Hadn't even posted about that yet, but that is also an issue. Suddenly spacebar smashing a SpiritBorn looks semi-rewarding again.
Stupid pleb mentality
thanks
Now for me XP death penalty is not a huge deal, in terms of setting back progress. By the point it becomes noticeable you've gotten most of the power from your build, those extra 10 points from 90 to 100 aren't going to make a big difference in your build's overall power and enjoyment of the game. I've played PoE1 for 1,5k hrs and never reached lvl 100 on a character, never cared for it. It is there as a grind for the people that want to tackle it, not to frustrate players.
I could care less what he stated. It's not necessary in a modern game, with no mechanic for recovery. "Bruteforce" grinding is literally baked into the recipe of nearly every ARPG, from Diablo to Sacred. I would think his comment would hold more weight with me if respecs were free, or relatively inconvenient. But in this current iteration, even with a nerf, they are not. While I appreciate that the achievement is it's own reward, but really it's just an excuse to keep players in the game. It's frustrating, even heading from level 70 to 71 to die from some offscreen creep or lame ass death mechanic from a mob.
I laud your admission to enjoying your 1500 hours. I, like other, find different things and ways to enjoy games. Max level, may be one of them. But even getting to a moderate level like mid 80s would be ok. I do, however, disagree with your assertion that 10 points doesn't make a big difference. When my survivability was lacking, it was about 10 points that I moved around to keep me on task. Pushing higher level maps could and might make all the difference. Lastly, 1500 hours is a pretty serious commitment, and grants you access to being better than those of us whom could learn a bunch from you. Thanks for your feedback, I wholly appreciate it.
Irony is telling me to use my noodle, while you bring no actual counter or support to an innocuous discussion no one forced you to read or engage with. Kindly f$ck off and get back to grinding your gold, which isn't useful for item trading anyway; which if you actually played, you'd know. Don't forget, the plebs eventually overthrew the patricians, if you even know wtf that means.
