My thoughts before leaving the POE community

The game was fun at launch, met some fun people to play with and progress the storyline. (Although the story to be honest was rather bad like 2/10 kinda bad.)

I just can't seem to make a decent freeze build after all the nerfs. I just run out of mana spamming meteor as it's the only spell that does have decent damage.

I've literally tested every other freeze skill in the game with multiple different sub skill options and none of them are viable. The damage they do is simply too low. (Some of the sub gems when placed on the gems actually do not even work.)

When I cast it behind ice walls, just to keep some of the quicker mobs at bay they glitch through the ice walls and are able to stun lock me in place, even if I press W S A D to move my character simply won't move. It's not just 1 monster type if noticed that from a few of them.

As for the other ice spells their damage is very low and F tier, that Frozen eye if I remember it's name right does pretty much 0 damage, you're better off getting a pool noodle and using that as it will do more damage.

What else am I supposed to use? The sh_tty Ice bolt skill that at least freezes the mob but doesn't do enough damage to actually kill anything? All I can do is spam it till the enemy if frozen to cold snap them, and if I'm unlucky and they move quick they will just chase me down and stun lock me to death as I try and freeze them as they by pass the ice walls. If I open a portal and I'm surrounded by 20-30 of them I'm pretty much dead. If I try and cast a meteor they will simply just hit me faster than I can cast a meteor and just cancel cast the meteor.

I get nerfs happen, as I mentioned before, however when MOST of all the skills in the game are broken or not even ingame yet, why remove the FEW builds that work? I've seen lightning builds do 12 million damage and 2 seconds on a boss and that is not brain dead content? I've seen Twitch streamers killing end game content with 3-4 skills on their skill bar clearing harder stuff than I can on easy tier 1 maps. The same people killing a boss in literally 6 seconds or less by passing all the boss mechanics? What is this Lost Ark?

Cold just sucks now, due to the lack of support gems or bad balance, the mana cost is high and it's damage low.

I even tested:

My meteor is lv 20 and it does 5.6k damage (probably low) with just a base +5 all skills wand, in demon form my skill is lv 20 and does 5.4k damage. How is that even possible when demon form is supposed to give 16% extra damage per a stack, 10 stacks should give me 160% extra damage and +5 skills. Clearly something is broken.
My point is:
Fix the sh_t that is actually broken before nerfing the FEW things that ACTUALLY work. There clearly is a lack of skills and support gems in this game and not to mention a wacky and poorly implemented passive tree.

I can see people sticking around and playing the game, perhaps it's worth it but I used to play POE 1 for one season and I just was never able to progress to the end game due to my build being nerfed. I don't get why I need to play "Meta" to progress when I want to just play my unique build.

I was a fool to think POE2 was going to be any different than POE1, I was a fool to spend any money of this game and I will never again play a Grinding Gears game. I wish everyone in the community the best of luck on their builds but I for myself I can't see myself spending thousands of hours on a build just to see it nerfed and stuck and frustrated from being gimped.

Also note for all those haters I have no hate toward you it's your opinion but how did the player base go from almost 500k to 230k? Probably 1/3 or more are Chinese farmers?

Im sorry you got filtered because your cast on freeze comet spamming multiple times a second and was obviously broken got fixed.

Im doing a minion freeze build right now, and its a lot of fun! Yeah they made it harder to chain freeze, but youre not supposed to reduce challenge to 0 in the first place.

Play a different build or come back after a couple patches or something.

People acting like they can never play this again because the build they are working on right now isn't great anymore.

people like you are the reason games these days are being watered down. you shouldn't have to spam a single spell to win. that's fun? learn to use the other game mechanics. good riddance though. your loss.

Just started frost sorc, I def do not think that damage is low, freeze seems k in both boss fights and with mobs, my problem with frost come down more to how mana intense it is and you kind a have to let mobs encircle you if you want to have effective clearing speed, also you can .. up with support gem choices pretty badly, but I guess it is true for lot of classes.
