unarmed chaos monk, viable?

would love to try myself but the game has frozen 7 times in a row of trying to load a character... glad i changed core affinity so it does not crash the entire computer,, but still annoying

was wondering if its viable to make a unarmed monk, using chaos spells and curses, with strikes that don't require a weapon equipped. i know you are capable of it, but just because you can, does not mean it works.

and if unarmed means actually nothing equipped in those slots, or if focus, sceptre, shield, (or future item) counts as being unarmed, so as not to loose out on stats (like with demon from witch)
