How long after POE1 does POE2 take place ?
How many years have passed in the world of POE between 1 and 2 ?

Its been like ~10 years since the first game. Dialogue in A1 confirms this.

It's more complicated... it's supposed to take 40 years somewhere late in campain but we travel in time and we start in 10 years and being ever hundrets when not thousands of years before the poe 1 at some point in act 3 when we travel to place where vaal civilization is in it's golden age - before atziri cimci with the beast.

Act 4 probably will be after cimci pimci between Atziri and The beast which probably is know as "cataclysm" - which next we will be more in the future? 40 years after building kingsmarch in poe 1.

also we see how the beast is growing so campain will progress with years and not months.

10~11 years into the future. NPC dialogue confirms it. Especially the guy from kings march in a3
