My advice is to just not expect any consistency or well designed bosses, and you will have a less painful time. Just theorycraft items to specifically beat the boss - don't expect the boss itself to give rise to meaningful gameplay, as it will only get worse from here on out (trust me, MUCH worse).
"Not impossible to avoid, just get this 10% movement speed that makes it possible to avoid :^)". Earned the clown fair and square.
Imagine needing to wear gear in an arpg.
Movespeed boots help you move out of things faster?!
You earned a clown today.
No1 rule in PoE2: NEVER have bosses outside your screen. Not seeing their animations will get you 1shot so many times.
I could flip the logic against you too: "imagine trying to play the RPG as an actual role playing game and being punished for doing so".
It's an ARPG - stop pretending there is any semblance of intelligence or consistency to this title. It's the equivalent of a Marvel movie: produce made for dumb people to indulge in. Count Geonor is an inconsistently designed boss simply because the game cares more about spectacle than being rigorous.
This is flat out not true - at least not for all classes. I played Warrior and I can guarantee you that without multiple speedboosts they cannot escape this area the moment it appears. Reacting to it proactively perhaps - I did not try that, but once it appears on me I did get hit. Even when rolling almost the exact frame the circle popped up. I'm pretty sure I had a 10%+ movement speed on my boots at the time too.
Sadly it doesnt get telegraphed enough because the ring doesnt start the moment he triggers the move, it could use a little bit of expansion delay, like a few ms, not even much.
The only other thing i would say needs tuning is whatever the attack is that pulls up beams off the ground, the aoe off those isnt very clear at all and could be more visual. Also warrior can mess over that boss something cruel with all the stun you can dump on him.
Its not a bad or hard fight, just gotta be on it mentally. never died on him myself, other than those 2 hes pretty straight forward.
Lol, dont see it myself. Personally thought it was a sick fight.
Blatant lie. It's called a ROLE PLAYING game. I.e., you get to play a ROLE. If you genuinely think RPGs are a purely competitive endeavor you either a) have literally never played one, or 2) played only digital ones by just watching meta guides on the internet.
