hunting grounds bugged

if you play in a party when you open the gate in the cemetary in act 1, it can cause the gate to be open for your character, but the invisible wall remains, and the entrance to hunting grounds doesn't appear after you kill the boss. traveling through waystone or portal doesn't work either, as it says you are not in the right quest state, despite the quest saying to travel to the hunting grounds.

i already submitted a bug report but im wondering if anyone has discovered a fix or workaround so i can actually progress, otherwise i have to start all over again. i don't think they're gonna get around to fixing this any time soon.
