Does GGG hate casuals?
I really have the feeling thats kinda true.

Normal Campaign is waaaaaaaaaay harder than cruel.
Some classes are nearly impossible to start with, like warrior.
And if a casual really beat the campain he faces the true nightmare, the Endgame.
Every little mistake is punished absolutly brutal. Map lost, Loot on the ground lost, exp lost and lot of time wasted....

Shouldnt POE2 suppose to be more casual friendly because POE1 was to confusing for them? It feels like it got even worse for casuals

Am i wrong about it?

Its not "hard" its just gruelling and disgusting in terms of its mechanics and game structure.

Its early access. They have half a year to completely rebalance the game and also HALF the classes are missing.
YOU saigned up for this, YOU paid for early access. YOU got exactly what you paid for - what is your point?
If you want it balanced, wait for release.

Selfishness is saying 'there can only be one difficulty, the one I like'. The opposite of that is allowing for both. Cheers.
To be honest D3 aproach with finely tuned difficulty from start and scaling in endgame was very aproachable. But what will the penalty/reward for endgame scaling be? Gear droprates?

Not a fan of locking people out of gear/content because they decided to eg tone down the HP of bosses and their attacks. That's enough to create a viable second difficulty without tweaking anything else.

The way these devs work, I'd imagine if there was a difficulty setting then they would lock you to that (can't be changed at any point). So you don't get the 'badge of honour' for playing at the higher level, similar to hardcore.

They would also lock out certain endgame bosses and gear. I mentioned I don't think that's a good idea, but I think that's how they'd approach it and would be perfectly fine too IMO.
I am trying witch and do not like it at all in 2. The skeleton summons take to long to auto re-summon. I would rather re cast them myself right as they die like the first game. Also bosses and most mobs totally ignore them and head straight for me. I will just go back to POE1.

Difficulty isn't the same as confusing. A game is best when it's easy to play but challenging to master.
First character is always hard, no loot, no gems etc.. everything cannot be so ez as D4 is. If you want tons of uniques and free dopamine, just pick D4

end-game is against the core of the game and promises. IT'S EVEN faster than poe 1 at some point.
deffinitely we will se entire balance rework. Also cruel is easier a lot from act 1-3. Game has very large identity issuess with being poe 1 clone and smh entirely different.
end-game is much easier than campain and everything is trivalizing to the edges.
Even pinancle bosses are reachable to fast and being a joke for experienced players.

also losting map is not a punishment. it's wrong understanding of game. You will be over-stimulated with amount of available map and it's infinity. also remember you can buy t1 maps and upgrade 3xt1 map to t2 map in forge
end game is to easy with a meaning of difficulty.

you must upgrade your maps.. more affixes, more loot. Map will be closed, that is a while point of it

They go play the same game on 'leet' difficulty or however they want to phrase it to feel 'superior' to those who aren't playing a video game at the same intensity/time commitment.

It's been a mechanic since the dawn of video games and is the least costly to implement in terms of code effort, and gives everyone the game they want via a dropdown option.

I don't do it because I want to feel superior to anyone else. I enjoy a challenge. Not everything is revolving around you. All the other ones that are uninteresting and do not engage me because of their ease of play are not being selfish though? This one has to make it easier but they don't have to make it harder? Give me a break stop trying to ruin it for people that enjoy this. You have plenty of other toys to play with.
PoE2 is easier then PoE1s beta by a billion percent or more lol.

Voice your concerns and issues with the game on their reddit/ discord. Also state where you are coming from, context always helps & might help you dodge a few strays from toxic positivity fanboys that want nothing changed or just made plain worse and less qol. I do believe they want to bridge the gap between poe 1 & more casual arpg's as a middle child for arpg. Easy to pick up but still has a high skill ceiling.

That being said we have too many games trying to appeal to everyone and that makes them too casual. Having anything hardcore is seen as a niche game nowadays when it really should be a big part of the gaming industry.

A lot of difficulty people are having is a problem in plain sight. Gear. You have to pay attention to gear levels, defenses, resistances. It's not explained well if at all & gear rng. The starting area definitely needs some gear tuning. It was a slog for my warrior until i got lucky with some gamba gear.

I complain here because its their page on Steam. If they dont pay attention that's on GGG.
No, they don't hate casuals, but they recognize that it's the hardcore crowd that keep the company afloat. I've spent maybe $50 total on PoE1 and PoE2 over the past decade, and yes, $30 of that was for PoE2 EA.

My opinions carry a whole lot less weight than someone who has spent thousands on the games over the past decade.
