We are in 2024 and you paid for an EA game at launch... next time wait for some review more gameplay video to decide ??? And I think there was lot of preview out there, enought to make a good decision.
It feel like you just want to consume content... and you bought an incomplete game... gg.
Not everybody want easy content to consume, and poe2 was never marketed like that. Not our fault or GGG if you bought wrong product.
Its so casual friendly i love this game.
But are dropping slowly as each day passes
That being said we have too many games trying to appeal to everyone and that makes them too casual. Having anything hardcore is seen as a niche game nowadays when it really should be a big part of the gaming industry.
A lot of difficulty people are having is a problem in plain sight. Gear. You have to pay attention to gear levels, defenses, resistances. It's not explained well if at all & gear rng. The starting area definitely needs some gear tuning. It was a slog for my warrior until i got lucky with some gamba gear.
This should be your Topic answer.
Since its around 2025 and ppl growing up y'know. No one gonna nolife stuff they dont want to and since game didnt position itself as "hardcore only experience"...
It shouldnt be ez af tho just balanced.
I absolutely hate people that rag on casuals basically giving them the middle finger and telling them to F off this is what killed a game I used to play and it inevitably shut down because the in-come was not sufficient due to the only people that ended up still playing with those worthless delinquents or degenerates that dropped out off school and claimed social welfare because that was all they were good for.
So yeah don't chase away the people that eventually keeps POE 2's lights on.
Endgame in itself isn't casual.
Casuals finish a story and move on to the next game.
ITS Not about Warrior being useless, but Warrior being extrem hard to start with. Wirhout Gear Support. Wirhout group. SSF. There ist No other reason Warrior being so hard to start with except Bad Game Design. ITS Just Not fun and Casual want mostly fun in a Game. There dont have endless time to waste on Bad Game Design.
And the wirst part dont geht mentioned at all Here. EXTREMLY punishing Endgamr Design. Every little mistake ist a huuuuuge time waste in Endgamr. When even Poe Streamer speak Out about it, how do you think Casuals will think about it? They Just quit.
I have seldom seen classes get shafted so hard in an ARPG
Should i mention more examples?
Why are people Like to defend Bad, punishing and time wasting Game Designs so much?
When you are in the process of leveling, especially when you are under level 50, you don't always necessarily have access to the best gear nor the means to acquire it without buying it from 3rd party websites.
They go play the same game on 'leet' difficulty or however they want to phrase it to feel 'superior' to those who aren't playing a video game at the same intensity/time commitment.
It's been a mechanic since the dawn of video games and is the least costly to implement in terms of code effort, and gives everyone the game they want via a dropdown option.
Selfishness is saying 'there can only be one difficulty, the one I like'. The opposite of that is allowing for both. Cheers.
