Possible Freeze Fix!!! I'm finally playing

7800x3d + 4090. I was freezing constantly (hard resets had to hold the button to turn my computer off)... I tried the processor affinity trick; while it let me not have to hard reboot, I was still crashing left and right. I came across a post and it really helped.

In windows go to your power settings (select your current power profile), go to advanced, find the processor power settings and set the maximum from 100% to 99%. I think this prevents your processor from trying to go "Turbo mode" or whatever it's called.

So far I've been rock solid after making this change.

Edit: one more variable I changed (read from a different post), I set the max background fps from 30 to 15 in the PoE2 settings.
