Remove vaal orbs
Dumbest thing ever lol....absolutely nuked a crossbow i was building, they shouldn't have that bad of an outcome and be such a rare drop. Was a total buzz kill, makes me want to stop playing for a bit.

You can corrupt things for free at an altar in the Machinarium.

Also, you chose to risk it on a Vaal Orb. That was your choice.
I'd love to have a better Sceptre than the one i currently have, But i'm sure as heck not gonna risk a Vaal orb bricking it in hopes of a small upgrade.

My point is, the vaal orb even having an outcome like this is punishment for playing lol.
That shouldn't even be an option, its frustrating and annoying.

I'm all for challenging gameplay, but over the time annoying things like that are nothing more than punishment for playing, weird and lame they would even add something like this.

I'd say never use them on an item you're currently using. While I don't completely disagree with what you're saying, I think they're just meant for people who are addicted to the gamble aspect and want that perfect item that's ridiculously hard to get.

Just use them for random items you might not need right away but have the possibility to turn out amazing with it, even if it's not for your class.

There are times to use them somewhat safely and without tons of risk. That was not one.

they are seen more as a last ditch effort to try and get a good result from crafting

This is how Vaal Orbs have always worked. There's nothing to "sort out", other than your planning.

vaal is great for the game's economy, by actually giving a use for the flood of all those same items that would otherwise not even be worth selling.

Reading what item does sometimes does wonders, try it

I love Vaal orbs. Wish they brought back Vaal skill gems too.

its not a punishment its a gamble and its supposed to be risky you are literately corrupting something.
