Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Just bought the game. Love it but it crashes a lot. How can I fix them?
So I'm getting a lot of crashes. tried changing a bunch of settings like turning vsync off, changing aliasing from dlaa to quality dlss, dx12 to vulkan but nothing has fixed those crashes for me. I was fighting the first ice witch boss and the game crashed like three times during that fight for me which was very annoying. At least the game doesn't force you to start over again but still I don't like this many crashes. i understand its early access but this is borderline unplayable for me. Can someone please help? I really like the game and would like to keep playing.

Disagree, I've just started and game just randomly freezes all my system. I haven't any problems with hardware and much more heavy games works just fine.

So that doesn't help at all. What could the issue possibly be? My rig runs other more graphically intensive games just fine.

if you have nvidia card i found setting your card for poe 2 up manually helps a lot both in fps and in crashes, after check ingame settings aswell for your card. if you can try avoiding upscaling in any shape or form and use native. thats all the things i found worked for me.

Ok. thanks. I'll give native a try. Hopefully that fixes it. What do you mean by "setting your card for poe 2 up manually"?

Windows 11 24H2 has caused hard lock freezes while in loading screens. No fix yet besides turning off multithreading or turning off cpu core usages.

So I'm not getting any freezes. The game just straight up crashes

The thing that seemed to fix it for me was disabling Nvidia Reflex + changing background FPS to 15 (No idea why the second one would do anything at all but lots of folks are saying it helped them)

Im using an AMD card and the game started crashing randomly yesterday or a day before. Maybe it was the Windows update mentioned in a reply above.

I used to have the same issue, fixed it with backup update windows, don't install 24H2, use previous one and no more freeze

It's a known issue. Absolutely ignore the idiots who try to tell you it's a hardware issue with your machine. Everyone will suggest a bunch of fixes that probably won't work. The only thing that worked for me was playing the game on Windows 10 instead of Windows 11, but even then, idiots challenge me on it and say that didnt fix my issue.

graphics->engine multithreading off seems to fix it for me, yeah there is low fps at towns but every where else the fps are fine.
